THE TOMB-ROBBERS OF NO-AMUN
Many books refer to the trials of tomb-robbers during the reign of Ramesses IX. There is, however, much more to this story than meets the eye. This lecture uncovers the motives of the Vizier, the High Priest and the two Mayors in Egypt’s Southern capital: No-Amun, the ‘City of Amun’. Known to the Greeks as Thebes, this is modern Luxor and the talk will take us to all the places on the East and West banks of the Nile as our story unfolds.
